This glorious mountain, crowned by snow in year-round is located at the edge of Khovd province and Bayan-Ulgii province. The highest peak is 4.202mabove sea level, and Its name means ‘sacred white’. Some remarkable rock engravings which are named Khar delyn rock painting have been found on a large rock, representing Rouran warriors riding caparisoned horses. On the same rock, are other riders, hunting scenes, ibex, argali. Apart from the Rouran warriors, most of the carvings are believed to belong to the Bronze Age. It is one of the last places where endangered snow leopard live. The mountain offers some good hiking, horse trails and camping spots. Hikers should come provisioned with all supplies and climbing gear.
